ABOUT AKOMA

A Physician’s Association

A Physician’s Association

Hardly a day goes by without a change in our national health care system—changes which will affect you and your patients.
The Alaska Osteopathic Medical Association (AKOMA) works to protect every osteopathic physician in the state by keeping you informed and ensuring that your voice is heard—striving to improve both advocacy and educational programming in Alaska.

Chief Activities

  • Issues of importance to physicians and citizens, advocating for osteopathic interests at legislative, regulatory, and licensure levels. AKOMA works to make your voice and opinions heard;
  • Annual Conference with the latest in practice and medical information (with a discount for members) and improving educational programming in Alaska;
  • Networking, connections, and the interchange of ideas among physicians and other health professionals;
  • Increased public awareness of osteopathic medicine and its benefits.
